Matt was born in Indiana. Growing up he was captivated by the power that film had to convey a message and move people on an emotional level. But this passion lay dormant for many years while he studied at Purdue University pursuing a career in engineering within the aerospace field. Matt worked for a major defense contractor for many years. The passion for film he had developed as a youth however was re-ignited after working on a small promotional video project for a local homeless shelter. Matt and his family had followed God's call moving to Missouri to help plant a church. It was there that he realized once again the power of cinema to move people. Matt loves Jesus Christ as the One who died to save him, has been married for 20+ years, and is father of a son who composes film scores. He is committed to glorify God by using his God-given passion for filmmaking. Matt is most passionate about the creative side of filmmaking, mainly directing.
