Dinesh S. Yadav is a National Award winning film maker known for his exemplary work such as Turtle (2019) and Waah Zindagi (2021).
Hailing from a pilgrimage, Maheshwar, in India, DINESH S. YADAV, has Narmada, the holy river, flowing into his being, and the sacred flow carries in itself the fables, folktales, mythology, history, architecture, art and culture of the ancient India. More than that, as for every pilgrimage, it carries a quest about self- realisation and to satisfy that quest and in search of himself he found the art of Filmmaking which was shaped by the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII).
Before taking up FILM EDITING from the institute, he did his Masters in Television Direction and Graduation in Film and Television production from EMRC, Indore.
But long before, he started his formal education in filmmaking, he came onto the floor, with a couple of music videos, animation videos, theatre and short films.
Two of his short films, 'Aashad', monsoon in English and 'Umas', meaning stifle are critically acclaimed, winning him awards in international and national film festivals.
Turtle that brought him nationwide recognition is also his debutant feature film that won him the National Award for (The Best Rajasthani film) gaining fame and appreciation at several national/international film festivals. It is a folktale where he has very soulfully and skilfully interweaved the subject in a story and braided macabre images in the desert with the echoing sounds of the chants into the moustache of the Alghoza.
In 2021, Dinesh pleased the audiences with his second feature film Waah Zindagi .
Besides direction, he was also the story/ screenplay writer and associate editor for both his films.
Both are ZEE5 Original films, now streaming on the OTT platform ZEE5 Premium.
2020 onwards Dinesh continued his tryst with advertising films. He opened a production house by the name of Dinesh S. Yadav films and produced / directed Barrel Select's Double Shift in 2021.
The film is due for release in 2022 on Barrel Select's platform
