Multi-hyphenate talent, Monique Rosario, made her writing and acting debut with The Knockout Game (2014), starring alongside Motown legend Mary Wilson. The film was selected to the Santa Barbara International Film Festival (2014) and went on to win best narrative short film at the Oceanside International Film Festival (2015). After serving as president of Kuntu Repertory Theatre, she pursued further training under Jeff Goldblum at Playhouse West, the west coast repertory theatre division of Sandy Meisner's Neighborhood Playhouse, and comedy improv at The Upright Citizen's Brigade in Los Angeles. Monique regularly performs short form, long form and musical improv. She is a member of the lady duoprov team "Dish! with Monique and Amy," and the comedy band, "FoSho the Band." She's also played several dramatic roles in a variety of independent films and series, including The 6th Friend (2016) with Dominique Swain (Lolita (1997)) and The Big O, written by the Oscar-winning Pamela Wallace (Witness (1985)). Additionally, Monique has directed several short films; Lives (2018), which she wrote and acted in, was an official selection of the Cleveland International Film Festival in 2018. In 2019, she directed the pilot episode for the musical comedy series "Tha FoSho Show," which features original music by her band, and in which she plays the lead opposite her bandmate, Jesse Conway.
