Maurice Johnson movie list

The tall, muscular and handsome American actor, Maurice Johnson was born in Augusta, Georgia to Ruby and Eugene Johnson, Jr. He credits his high school debate coach for pushing him to use his talents and powerful voice on the school's debate team and in various oratorical contests that garnered him many accolades. This foundation led him to pursue his major in college and ultimately acting as a profession. Maurice received a football scholarship to Albany State University and graduated with a degree in Speech and Theatre. He was also initiated into the Chi Epsilon chapter of Omega Psi Phi, Fraternity, Inc. at Albany State. Maurice caught the acting bug as he walked onto the stage in his first stage play, Thomas Meloncon's "Diary of Black Men" directed by Dr. Wendy Coleman at Albany State's Billy C. Black auditorium. Upon graduating from college he performed in local and regional stage plays before landing a national SunTrust commercial without having an agent. He continued to hone his craft doing commercials and on the indie circuit before landing co-star and guest star roles on hit television shows like CBS's "Hawaii Five-O", TBS/OWN's Tyler Perry's "For Better or Worse", CW's "Vampire Diaries", ABC's "Devious Maids", ABC's "Nashville" and NBC's "Game of Silence" to name a few. Maurice was first seen on the silver screen in Joyful Noise with Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton in a comical scene where the two were in a cat fight. Maurice will be seen next on the silver screen opposite Morris Chestnut and Regina Hall in the upcoming thriller "When the Bough Breaks" (September 2016) and in the highly anticipated blockbuster "Billionaire Boys Club" alongside Hollywood heavyweights Emma Roberts, Kevin Spacey, Ansel Elgort, Taron Egerton, Billie Lourd, Alicia Sanz, Judd Nelson, Jeremy Irvine, and Suki Waterhouse. Maurice is poised to breakthrough in upcoming roles that will showcase his versatility.
